As a child, I remember I loved going for Disney on Ice and even as an adult, I have gone to watch my favourite Disney characters skate around gracefully to the delightful tunes.
Which was why I accepted the media invite and made our way to JEM for the Disney on Ice roadshow last Saturday despite my terrible flu.
We had no regrets because the kids had fun at the various stations! The first thing they rushed to do? Colour.
I had a hard time convincing my girl who loves art to postpone her colouring and try out the other activities which include completing this treasure map:
The first station they tried was feeding insects to Pumbaa:
And someone who couldn’t aim properly went this close to feed Pumbaa. LOL
Spin the wheel and answer a simple question about the Disney character:
And for the electronic gadget-loving kids, here’s a touch-screen game where you have to pair up the characters that go together (e.g. Woody with Buzz from Toy Story):
And the highlight of the roadshow – photo-taking with a Disney character! We didn’t know which mascot would be appearing but I had a hunch it’d be Mickey and boy were we glad because Mickey is my boy’s absolute favourite Disney character! π He was so excited while we were queuing up for the photo; he even told me he wanted to hug and kiss Mickey. π In the end he was so overwhelmed he forgot! haha…
After photo-taking, we went to explore the mirrors which distorted our images and we had a pretty good laugh!
Before we left, the kids were gifted with a goodie bag each –
Even before he opened up the bag to check the contents, he was already exhilarated because of the prints on the plastic bag and insisted that he lug it around all day that day!
The roadshow at JEM has ended but the roadshow is still available at the following locations:

West Coast Plaza : 7-9 March 2014
