A Candilicious Christmas with Crystal Jade Kitchen

Last Thursday, we were invited to have tea at Crystal Jade Kitchen, Suntec City, where we were treated to the Christmas delights you can expect from Crystal Jade this year. It was a sumptuous spread and even though by the time we got to tuck into the food, the food was a tad cold, the verdict of the food was still good. 🙂

This year, Crystal Jade My Bread has in its Yuletide take-away menu, over 30 best-selling delights, new party bites and candy-coloured confectionery for those who want traditional Christmas dishes paired with Asian-inspired flavours.

For instance – Fish and Pork Stick in Thai Style ($14.80, 12pcs)

Returning to this year’s Christmas menu for the seventh straight year is Crystal Jade’s hot favourite (prepared on the same day of collection so you can serve these without reheating) – Roasted Home Recipe Turkey ($92, approx. 3.5-4kg), a tender and juicy dish in which the turkey is seasoned for hours in orange juice, five-spice, oregano and other herbs.

This turkey was quite delish and my girl ate quite a bit of it that day!

A wonderful complement is the Honey Baked Ham ($39.80, approx. 1.2-1.4kg)

My little boy ate ONLY this that afternoon

and the popular canapés Mushroom Vol-au-vent ($22.80, 12pcs), made with creamy mushroom toppings in light, fluffy pastry.

I absolutely LOVED this! Creamy mushrooms is definitely my thing!

New sweet treats include the Joyous Snowman Mixed Fruit Cake ($45, approx. 1kg and 20cm diameter) which will certainly get you and your guests smiling!

One of Crystal Jade’s best sellers, the vanilla sponge cake is packed with luscious bits of fruit – fresh strawberries, canned pineapples or peaches depending on availability. The cake was fluffy and light, but my girl was more interested in the bits of fruits in the cake, and we had a second helping.

We even got to decorate a mini snowman cake while we were there that day and it certainly was the highlight for my little girl!:

Other desserts include the fluffy Mini Vanilla Profiterole ($14.80, 15pcs), Mini Chocolate Eclair ($14.80, 15pcs) topped with icing and rainbow sprinkles,

festival cupcakes – Christmas Tree Cutie Cupcakes ($20.80, 12pcs) topped with a colourful mini Christmas Tree with a surprise strawberry inside.
