It may seem strange at first to suggest that you can get a perfect gift at an optical shop. But in fact, you can!
To tell the truth, I have not stepped into an optical shop in more than 10 years, since my Lasik treatment done during my post-uni days. Not needing to get spectacles/ contact lenses coupled with increased online options since my old pair of Versace shades, I totally forgot that I could actually get my sunglasses from an optical shop! #scrambledmombrain
It was only when Spectacle Hut sent me an invitation to check out their shop that I remembered. When I entered the Jurong Point branch, I was totally blown away by the vast array of brands and designs it carries. I asked for the staff’s recommendation (based on my face shape) because there were just sooo many to choose from, and I didn’t know where to start.
The first recommendation | I kinda like this Ray-Ban one and I can just imagine myself at the beach with this pair of shades. But I decided to keep my options open and tried more.
The staff was friendly and professional. She scoured the display shelves for those that might suit me and based on my feedback, she would choose more. When my hubby disappeared to spin for Pokeballs, she also helped to give helpful comments in my selection process.

The One | I chose the Fendi shades eventually because I love the two-toned lenses, and I think it suits me best from those I tried! I was initially hesitant to get it because of the price tag, and was about to settle for a particular pair of Coach shades which was more within budget when the staff told me that there was a 30% discount!! #madhappy
Needless to say, I decided on it immediately after that. And as luck would have it, it was sunny when I left Jurong Point so I could put my new shades to good use. 😀
