#WW – New bed for the kids!

It was with some reluctance that we eventually bought a bed and shifted our girl to our adjoining bedroom. But you have to understand that I was the one feeling reluctant. Now that she’s got a funky new bunk bed (which my hubby is hoping that little boy will be shifting himself there soon too), I think I’ll miss having her on my bed. But that’s part and parcel of life and I’ll just have to get used to it as the kids start growing up.

They grow up wayyy too fast!

The City at Liang Court {Free passes Giveaway}

We visited The City at Liang Court last December when they celebrated their first birthday. It wasn’t our first time there but as it has been some time since we last visited, and now that little boy is older and much much more into pretend play, I’d say the kids really enjoyed themselves thoroughly this time.

Here are some of the shots we took this time. If you aren’t already familiar with The City, it’s a pretend play playground instead of the usual indoor playground. Read my full review of The City here, where there is a complete set of photos to show the various stations available.

Upon entering The City, our kids dashed off immediately into the supermarket. I would too, if I were a kid. Shelves of their height with familiar packaging of stuff that mummy and daddy put into the shopping trolley – definitely a hit with kids.

Oh and of course Little Boy grabbed his favourite Kungfu Panda which was lying around and promptly placed him onto the trolley seat. That’s his ‘baby’ which he has to take care of while he gets the important shopping done. πŸ™‚

Some of the improvements I’ve noted include providing older kids with laminated shopping lists so that it gives them purpose in their shopping and also I guess there’s just joy in completing a to-buy list (and not to mention the learning that younger kids would be doing while having fun). Prices of products are also provided on the shelves and there’s more ‘money’ provided in the cash register so older kids can key in real prices instead of aimlessly jabbing numbers on the cash register.

Other improvements include adding in the corner protectors on the furniture.

This time, little boy chose to dress up as a firefighter. I mean this time he wanted to be dressed up. The last time round, he was decked up in a costume, much against his will. Must be the minion in Despicable 2 that inspired this. :0

And he shouts, “bee-doh! bee-doh! bee-doh!” just like the minion

How? Handsome or not? πŸ˜€

Adjusting his helmet, making sure he can still see… LOL

And there’s always the draw of the cash register that even a firefighter cannot resist.

Meanwhile, because it was a party, there were group activities going on.

And after the game, my girl headed off for a manicure.

Note that these services are part of parties at The City. Feel free to ask them more about party package details when you’re there.

And when it was less crowded, the kids went for a spin on the police’s patrol car.

Look mum! I have a passenger!

Now for the good news. The City is giving out passes to THREE lucky readers of my blog! And in time too for the upcoming March holidays! πŸ™‚

You can win by simply leaving a comment on this blog post (about why you’d love to win a pass) and remembering to click ‘I Commented’ in the Rafflecopter widget to qualify. The rest of the options are optional, but would render you more chances to win!
