About Me

Hi,

I’m Angie, a former junior college teacher who took a decade-long hiatus from teaching to be home with my two wonderful kids. I’ve returned to work part-time since April 2018, now that my kids are older.

I experienced the steepest learning curve of my life after I became a mom (who can identify with this – hands up!) and I hope that I can share my parenting experience (breastfeeding, feeding baby and toddler, activities I do with my children including home-learning activities) and my favourite home-cooked recipes here at my parenting blog with you!

Years into my SAHM stint, I added a beauty segment in my blog, recognising the fact that stay-home moms need not be frumpy all the time, and I ought to take time to take care of myself and my appearance. I often hear my SAHM friends comment that they do not need to take so much care of their appearance since they are home most of the time, but trust me, this isn’t just about looking good for others. It is about looking good and feeling good for yourself.

I also post interesting updates and links via my Simply Mommie‘s Facebook page and I hope you can join me there as well.

I have been featured by The Sunday Times, Daily Candy and very popular early childhood education blogs: In Lieu of Preschool, Living Montessori Now, Hands on as We Grow, Growing a Jeweled Rose, Kids Activities Blog, One Perfect Day, Rainy Day Mum, Weekly Kids Coop, I Can Teach My Child, Learn Play Imagine and Housing a Forest.

I’ve also co-authored a cook book which is available in major book stores in Singapore:
