An easy as 1-2-3 recipe for honey soy salmon!
  • about 400g salmon fillet, cut into smaller slabs
  • 1-2 teaspoons dried oregano (optional)
  • olive oil for searing
For the sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • cornflour slurry for thickening the sauce, if necessary
  1. Rinse the salmon fillet and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. Sprinkle dried oregano on the fillet (optional).
  3. Heat some olive oil in a non-stick pan and sear the salmon on both sides till cooked - you probably won't take more than 6-8 minutes for this, depending on the thickness of the fillet.
  4. While cooking the salmon, bring the sauce in a small saucepan to a boil and thicken with cornflour slurry to desired consistency.
  5. Plate the cooked salmon then drizzle the sauce over it.
  6. Serve.
Serve together with roasted potatoes and steamed vegetables for a complete meal. Great with rice too.
