Total time:
Serves: 1 toddler
  • 30-50g cod fillet
  • teriyaki sauce* (see cooking notes), amount up to your preference
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  1. Rinse cod fillet and pat dry.
  2. Add a teaspoon of oil to the pan (I'm using the Happy Call pan).
  3. When the oil is heated up, add the fish and cover the pan and let it fry for about 2 minutes.
  4. Flip the small piece of cod in the pan and cover the pan again for about 10 seconds.
  5. Pour the teriyaki sauce on the cod and cover the pan again and cook till the sauce has thickened to a consistency of your liking or if the cod fillet has soaked up the sauce.
  6. Remove from pan and serve.
1. The brand of teriyaki sauce I'm using is Yamasa and I find it a bit too salty for the kids so I usually dilute it with plain water in the proportion 1:1 (add more water if still too salty). I will add ¼ - ½ a teaspoon of sugar to balance the taste.
2. Adjust the sauce to your liking before adding it to the pan as the cod will be overcooked if you start adjusting the taste of the sauce only in the cooking process.
3. You can substitute cod with salmon fillet.
