I just realised that it’s been quite a long while since I have updated my blog. So much has been going on with work and I’ve been spending my free time pursuing my new hobbies of baking bread and cakes that I have been extremely selective about who I collaborate with on the blog.
I only do honest reviews on this blog so those products I don’t actually really like or aren’t a good fit don’t appear here, unless with prior approval of the brand. So after this hiatus on the blog, here’s a review of this very tasty beverage I’ve been taking regularly with zero guilt and maximum pleasure.
It has been a madly warm season and even though I’m not one to crave cold drinks usually, I have been helping myself to one of these delicious Doki Doki drinks, especially in the afternoons.
What are these beverages for? They are not just meant to be tasty, although they score really high in that area, for most of the flavours I’ve tried.
So this series of beverages are actually collagen supplements. Who’d have thought that supplements could taste this good that I’d look forward to having them? The beverage (first photo) is the Strawberry Acerola Glow+ Anti-photoaging Collagen.
What it is and how it works
Blended with real strawberry, acerola and guava for great taste, this delicious drink is clinically proven to prevent hyperpigmentation and is formulated with Gut-Skin Microbiome Advancement™. Formulated with prebiotics to rebalance the ratio of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacteria of the gut microflora, consuming the drink leads to a decrease in skin sensitivity to photo-ageing (preventing the formation of dark spots due to exposure to UV).
It contains lactose-based prebiotics to strengthen the gut and promote skin health and contains 2500mg of Type 1 Hydrolysed Marine Collagen – broken into its simplest compounds for faster and more thorough absorption into the skin. No added artificial concentrates or refined sugars are added to the drink and each pouch is only about 75kcal, if you are counting your calories.
The other beverages featured above are from the Full Glow Collagen Bundle (4-week bundle, a total of 16 pouches). Included in the bundle set is one box each of Lychee Goji GLOW, Mango Peach GLOW, Passion Dragon Fruit GLOW and Raspberry Grape Skin GLOW. This sequence in the list is also representative of how much I like the flavours from my favourite to the least favourite. I love lychee so anything lychee is likely to rank high for me. 😀 But more than just that, the lychee one has the most visible pulp that is not dissolved into the drink because of the Goji berries and there are also bits of lychee.
To make the drink, simply empty the pouch into a glass and add water (and ice if preferred). I prefer cold water but you can just add room temperature water. On very warm days, I add more ice. It’s just delicious however you prepare it.
This range contains 5000mg Type 1 Hydrolysed Marine Collagen for firmer and hydrated skin. Again, it is less than 100 calories per serving so you can enjoy without guilt knowing that what you’re putting into your body is blended with carefully selected natural fruits that has not only beauty-loaded benefits but also vitamins and minerals for overall wellness. There are no added artificial concentrates and it is sweetened naturally with Stevia – no fructose or sugar.
There are many other supplements targeting different areas such as brightening, wrinkles, hydration and so on in Doki Doki so be sure to check out what they have to offer. They also carry calorie burning beverages (I do not know how it tastes though since I’ve not tried it).
You have a few more days to capitalise on the Mid-Year Sale. Receive $11 off for all orders above $79.90. Use code 11DOKIOFF, till end of July.
I think the 4-week bundle set is really value for money especially it’s only going for $49.90 now for a limited time (U.P. $59.60), so be sure to stock up on your delish supply of collagen!
Disclosure: I received the Strawberry Acerola Glow+ set and a Full Glow Collagen Bundle for review purposes. No monetary compensation was received.
