Astons restaurant

Two Saturdays back, we went to catch I Theatre’s Grimm’s Fairy Tales and after that we went straight for an early dinner at Suntec City because we were feeling ravenous. πŸ˜€

It was 5.15pm and there were quite a few restaurants that weren’t even open for dinner yet but Astons restaurant had a snaking queue and was full house already! We joined the queue because we really love the value-for-money and delicious food and it was something that we were sure our kids would eat and not fuss about. We were hungry and the last thing we wanted was for our kids to kick a fuss and not eat.

We ordered a pasta dish which comes with soup of the day and garlic bread. It was a little chunkier and lumpier rather than smooth but no one complained, and it was lapped up in no time.

The bread is the very crusty type and well, as you can see, my little boy has something to say:

Mmmph, believe me, this is really yummy!

The kids shared a Pasta Bolognese and they ate happily without issue. πŸ˜€ Love the slightly chunkier sauce.

Hubby had the sirloin steak which comes with a choice of 2 side dishes. He’d left me to decide on the side dishes so I chose baked beans (since both kids love that) and fries (which my girl was asking to eat earlier).

I had the black pepper chicken which was really tender and juicy and I loved the cracked black pepper bits. As you can see, I chose high carb side dishes! I just love mashed potatoes and potato salad and I couldn’t decide on only one of them so I decided to forgo the greens for a meal and have both! πŸ˜€ #fatdieme

We had a fulfilling meal which cost us $30+: very reasonable for the portion and taste, don’t you think? πŸ™‚ And that’s what keeps us going back… and it’d seem many people think so too, for when we left, there was still a snaking queue. πŸ™‚
