After years of neglecting my skin, I finally decided to do something about my largely uneven skin tone by embarking on the NIVEA Body UV Whitening Serum 14-day efficacy experience.
My routine in the 14 days
I would usually slather on the serum right after my bath, be it at mid-day or at night, and since it doesn’t leave an oily after-feel on my skin and on the contrary, leaves my skin feeling nice and cool, it really doesn’t matter what time of the day I apply it. I’ve read before somewhere that our skin absorbs particularly well right after a shower so if you have any lotions or serum (in this case) you’d like to apply, after your bath is the best time for application for best results. On most days, I apply it once a day (twice, max).
I didn’t stay out of the sun in the 14 days for this though – how is it even possible with two children? Yup, and so, we continued with our usual activities, and some are inevitably out in the sun.
I must admit that I slathered the serum on my body very generously, especially on days that I went outdoors. I was anxious for results and since the serum is so fluid and gets absorbed quickly, I didn’t feel any discomfort at all so I went ahead … and I ended up using up a whole tube of the serum in the 14 days. Even if I wasn’t going to get more even skin tone, I was very sure I’d have smoother skin (and smell better too)!
My skin reacts very well to products used, though admittedly, it was even better a few years ago when you know, before I turned 30. So I actually saw some pretty good results at the end of the 14 days.
The results
You may remember my first photo from the previous NIVEA post. Next to it is my hand 14 days later. I have taken all photos in my room, in the same lighting to make sure that the product’s efficacy isn’t exaggerated or undermined by the lighting conditions. You can see that my skin on Day 1 was a little dry and slightly darker than on Day 15. My hand on Day 15 has a nice healthy glow, if I may add. *mighty pleased* 🙂
Here’s a picture comparison of my arm before and after. As you can see, the skin tone on Day 15 is a lot more even and less dull and is a little fairer than on Day 1.
I was really quite pleased and surprised that NIVEA Body UV Whitening Serum with SPF 25 could improve my skin tone within only 14 days. And at only $9.55, I would say it’s a steal! I would recommend NIVEA UV Whitening Serum to other mums who have, like me, neglected skincare over the years. Who wouldn’t want to achieve visibly fairer, smoother and more radiant skin?

Advertisements are very hard to believe because they are mostly fake and deceiving. But on this one I will have to say I am impressed! Did you continue using this serum since the time you saw that it worked? 🙂

Hi Yee Mei,
Yes I did. But because I was in the sun for prolonged periods of time lately as I was on holiday, I’m quite tanned now. 😛 I’m still using it at night – keeps my skin smooth and I smell really good 🙂
Very cool! 🙂 Happy it works well for you! Thanks for sharing this post! It would really be helpful!
