Scrappin’ Love {Review & Giveaway}

I’ve been ogling at those pretty scrapbooking papers and washi tapes for ages and wondering how in the world to put those things together and make a pretty scrapbook. Well, I got a chance to try my hand at putting a mini album together when Rachel of Scrappin’ Love invited me to Scrappin’ Love’s third birthday bash! The 3-hour scrapbooking class was held at ET Artisan Sweets @ the Grandstand and it was followed by a short reception.

There’s an area with desks and chairs and that’s where our scrapbooking class was conducted:

Can you see me hard at work? :)

Now for the class, we were there to learn how to put a 6″x6″ travel mini-album together and here’s Rachel with her album prototype:

Now the first thing that caught my eye when I sat down were the washi tapes:

I LURVE washi tapes!

And then I started taking out the materials provided for the class from the plastic bag:

Now these look very daunting!

Now these look very daunting! Fortunately some of the papers have already been trimmed by Rachel for us to make things easier for us!

We were guided step-by-step how to put the pieces together, starting with the cover then moving on to the inner pages and how to assemble everything together just using the washi tapes and twine!

What I thought was one of the most fascinating pages was this one – where you can actually get a whole pamphlet in this mini-album! I always have difficulty storing pamphlets from trips in albums and this, I think is a marvelous idea:

Now after the entire session, here’s my cover page… I’ve yet to complete the entire album with photos and details of the trip though I sure hope to do so soon!

My cover page! Nice?

And we ended the session with some really delicious treats… boy was I hungry!!

The macarons were delicious!

The macarons were delicious! Didn’t eat any of the cakes so am not sure if they are yummy 🙂

And we took a group photo since we were celebrating Scrappin’ Love’s 3rd birthday – thanks Rachel for the eye-opening session!

If you love scrapbooking or you’re not sure where to start, Scrappin’ Love can organise a private class for you! All they’d need is a minimum of four participants to start (in the comfort of your home or a designated location). A scrapbooking party or a corporate event can be custom-designed for you as well. You can drop Scrappin’ Love an email at and they’ll work out one fantastic scrapping time for you!

Now for the giveaway!! The giveaway will be up to a 50% one-time discount off class or customised order (transferrable). Simply participate using the Rafflecopter widget below as usual!:

Oops, clicked too fast. Anyway, would love to win this because the last time I tried scrapbooking was 6 years ago, as gifts to our parents during our wedding. Wasn’t very good at it because I didn’t have much time to work properly on it. Hopefully, I’ll get to try it again!
