2012 has flown past and it’s already the second day of the new year! I’m back from my blogging break with my first post – Thankful 2012. 🙂
A new home
2012 has been a very eventful year for us. We started the year scouting for a new home, made the purchase in April and by God’s grace, we found a seller who had already vacated so we could start on renovations early, pass our old house keys to our buyer on time and move in to our new nest without being nomads having to rent an apartment or room in the interim period.
Two weeks after we moved in, little girl started school for the first time in her life.
I’m blessed with a highly independent child that I don’t need to worry at all that she’d cry without mummy around. Despite attending school only in the middle of the year and adjusting to school life, she was able to fit in well with her new friends and had no problems where school work was concerned as she was well prepped with homeschooling prior to starting formal education.
I picked up blogging again some time after we shifted and started working on advertorials and sponsored posts. I’ve never thought that I’d be paid one day for my blogging but well, I’m glad that it’s happening and starting to pick up with increasing blog stats. 🙂
After I got to know the Singapore Mom Bloggers better, I decided to migrate my blog to a self-hosted wordpress site in October with the help of my blogging mentor.
My blog was featured in Daily Candy:
and featured by various big names in early childhood education blogs: In Lieu of Preschool, Living Montessori Now, Growing a Jeweled Rose, Reading Confetti, Hands on as we grow and Housing a Forest.
Now that’s a lot to be thankful for, don’t you think? 🙂
